Craving
(D. Amey)

I wake up every night staring at the cold moonlight
and craving - craving more
Lying around my hotel room, and every morning comes to soon
I'm craving - I'm craving
Out my window down the street - The dinner crowd is on their feet,
The traffic lights they turn blue tomorrow
Your beautiful, and your heart it sings, and I might take you for a drink,
and I might kiss away your sorrow
and I'm craving - craving - craving more
And it feels like heaven
and every morning feels like hell
And I live - I live forever
How long forever I can't tell
A lover's kiss and I'm at your door - You are my only cure
I'm like that Raven singing "Never more, never more"
Time is on my side and the Century's they feed my mind
and i've been drinking it in for a long time
Well I come in fast without a sound - In the darkness out on the edge of town
Now I got a sense of humor, but I got this hunger
And I've seen those books upon your shelf
You've got an idea - You keep it to yourself
If you guess my name I've got your number
And I'm craving - craving - craving more
And it feels like heaven
and every morning feels like hell
And I live - I live forever
How long forever I can't tell
5 AM at my child hood home - I walk these hometown streets alone
All but my memories are gone
Still, the place will put me in a spell - Back to the days before I fell
Out of a life and into this heavenly-hell
Half an hour before sunrise - Burning through these bloodshot eyes
I'm out of here - Till we meet again sometime
I wake up every night - I want to dance with you in the cold moonlight
And I should never bring you over... but I might
And it feels - It feels like heaven
and every morning feels like hell
And I live - I live forever
How long forever I can't tell
