Pristine Machine
(Amey / Babjak)

I bought a car today
Called a friend about a job out in L.A.
Now I’m-a packing some clothes
And I’m-a hitting the road, yeah
Tonight I’m gonna make my get-away
Papa said “Boy you stick around”
Mama said “You find a girl and settle down”
Well I been thinking a lot
About the things that I got
And maybe that’s why I’m-a headin’ out of town
Mama cried, “Please don’t go!”
My daddy said, “I told you so”
Little sister saying, “Hey, wait up for me!”
Pristine Machine
Where headin’ out to where the fields are green
The only heaven I know
Is just-a ridin’ down the road
And they can’t take that away from me
I met a girl, was passing through
She seemed to know a lot more than I do
She put her hands on my face
And said, “Get out-a this place”
I’d make it soon as possible if I were you
Mama cried, “Please don’t go!”
My daddy said, “I told you so”
Little sister saying, “Hey, wait up for me!”
Pristine Machine
Sweetest thing that I have ever seen
The only heaven I know is just-a ridin’ down the road
And they can’t take that away from me
Someday I’m bound to settle down
Oh yeah and someday I’ll be six feet under ground
But everybody I know is already movin’ kind-a slow
And that’s another reason I’m-a leavin’ town
Mama cried, “Please don’t go!”
My daddy said, “I told you so”
Little sister crying, “Hey, wait up for me!”
Pristine Machine
Where headin’ out to where the fields are green
The only heaven I know
Is just-a ridin’ down the road
And they can’t take that away from me
