Playing shows with Billy Babjak's insanity driven guitars thundering around me is one of the great joys of my life! His stange antics are fearless and agressive, his guitar playing and sound; over the top - and the guy can write. What better collaborator could one ask for?
Lorenz Cornelisen is the drummer pounding and kicking everything up a notch on this project. He knows when to finesse and when to thrash!
All songs on this project are Amey/Babjak collaborations. Click on the link and check it out! |

The Nines
This band played everywhere and anywhere in the San Francisco Bay Area; from San Jose dives like the Marsuggis and
The Cactus Club to the San Francisco Fillmore and the Warfield. Billy and I had a set of material written before we even got to know each other
His powerful driving guitars are at the heart of this music. Phil Christ is a hard hitting drummer and a Bay Area legend. This band got a lot of
airplay, and played, and played, and played often four nights a week. This CD was recorded at Bart Thurber's House of Faith Studio in Palo Alto,
Ca. Enjoy!

Great Band, great friends, and great musicians. I've said it before; Steve Kolokithas plays guitar like a god. Lorenz
Cornelisen just plain kicked our asses on that beautiful Premier kit of his. Dave Wipert fronted the band with charisma, humor, and a powerful
in-your-face vocal delivery. The crowds came back again and again. I hope I get to play with these guys again soon! |

Dreamland
This band was based in Redwood City, Ca. They had plentiful gigs, and incredible following, and many great songs.
Best of all I got to make three great friends and play with some first rate musicians. John Buckle is and extraordinary singer, and incredible
songwriter, and playes a mean strat. Lorenz Cornelisen takes everything up a notch when he pounds those beautiful drums, and I could always see
people's jaws drop when Steve Kolokithas leaned off the stage ripping into that lead guitar of his. The band always drew a huge crowed, many of
whom would travel as far as Las Vegas to see our shows! Many a gig I got home at sunrise for every show with this band turned into a great party.

I met Avi in Berekly, Ca. and was instantly a fan. Avi is the real deal. He sings with more heart and soul than most
musicians can dream about. I never know if he is channeling, out of his body or what, but when he sings you believe him,and he plays guitar
like a virtuoso. It was always a blast to head up to his place in Berekly and improvise on harmonies to the material he was working on in
his studio. His wife Liss writes many of the lyrics to his songs and they are beautiful. The last show I played with Avi was for Earth Day
at Grace Cathradel in San Francisco. We opened for Grateful Dead Drummer, Mickey Hart, and got to sit with the Mayor. There was a huge
turnout and we made all the evening broadcasts. If you ever get the chance to se Avi live, Don't miss it! |
